University Professor and Hospital Practitioner

EA 4136 (Handicap Activity Cognition Health) team leader

President of the National Council of Universities  (CNU 49-05) and of the French Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine SOFMER

My clinical practice and research topics focus on neurorehabilitation of brain-injured patients from the acute phase to the chronic phase.  I work on the assessment and rehabilitation of cognitive , language and communication impairments. More particularly, I study the impact of cognitive rehabilitation on independence in activities of daily living assessed in real life or virtual domain using emerging technologies.  This led me to create and to lead since 2007 this team. The uniqueness of the EA4136 team is the fact it brings together researchers from rehabilitation sciences, human and social sciences (neuropsychologists), sport sciences, health sciences : hospital university practitioners and para-medical staff (physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists), in line with the universitarisation of the paramedical training.
