Doctor Mélanie Cogné has been the Chief Resident of the Neurorehabilitation Unit at the University Hospital of Bordeaux (France) since 2015. She is specialized in Neurorehabilitation of patients who have had a Stroke or a Traumatic Brain Injury, or who are suffering from Parkinson Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease, or overall cognitive troubles. She participated in international medical conferences where she presented her research results regarding the influence of stimuli on virtual spatial navigation and memory of patients who have had a stroke or have an Alzheimer’s disease. In 2016, she received the award for best medical thesis of the University of Bordeaux. She is also completing a science thesis in Cognitive Neuroscience about the impact of sensory modulation on virtual spatial navigation and memory. Her research centers of interest are the evaluation and the management of the navigational difficulties, dysexecutive troubles, memory deficits and spatial unilateral neglect of patients with brain injury.
